After you changed the costume, the normal cool down of 24 hours will start.
At the end of the event the cool-down of the event costume is reset to 0 and gets taken off automatically. The normal costumes are not affected.

Event costume:
The event costume blocks both costume slots.

TIP
On May 12th at 11am, change to your Saturn's Winter Garment costume and utilize the "Double regeneration" to generate as much gold as possible. Then on May 19th at around 10am, start unpacking and change to the Bubona's Bull Armour on May 19th, 2014 at 11am in order to utalise the "-20% costs in training" - Then train your arse off as fast as possible in order to avoid been hit.

The True Story of Moesha - Commentary 2

The following extracts were taken from the "board.us.gladiatus" site.
The truth is, if conversations such as the below were taking place on a daily bases, the forum and the server would be bursting at the seams with activity. So, for me I appreciate the fact that you both still have a burning passion and interest for the game.

    Von_Kestelberg: Monday, May 5th 2014, 5:50am: Gladiatus US Diaries
Some good stuff here, a little (A LOT) biased, but the Mosesha thing........that is eye-opening....if it is true.
Are there any other glads still here that can verify this???? I always suspected something was going on, but nobody would come forward...and why would they??? $$$ talks.

I believe the story is true, maybe the $$$ they talking about was minimal, because i certainly wouldn't pay huge amounts of cash to reinstate my gladiator. I would probably set a RAT trap, and use it too my advantage. There is no way that GF wouldn't step in, if there was potential money lost to them, and going straight into the pockets of their volunteers.

    brich21: Monday, May 5th 2014, 6:15am
I am sure there is SOME truth to it all. But if she doesn't care any more, and she is coming clean...why not just actually...you know...come clean? You want to make an impact, blow up the whole system. Names, dates, everything. Why hide the dirt if you're going to post a story like that?

At first glance, I actually agreed with your statement. However, thinking about it for a few minutes, does it even matter? This took place so many years ago, the Game and Forum teams have changed and most of the players involved have left. If you had it so easy, by stealing from other, cheating the game, and then all of a sudden have the clamps tightened, would you still be playing?

    Von_Kestelberg: Monday, May 5th 2014, 6:28am
I agree....We have heard these stories before, I remember people getting perma-bans overturned, but I have never been approached by anyone asking for $$$ and and I have been banned a few times.....(a misunderstanding I assure you).

    brich21: Monday, May 5th 2014, 6:33am
I have been banned multiple times, have had a few overturned. Never once heard a thing about money.

    Von_Kestelberg: Monday, May 5th 2014, 6:36am
So, were you ever a GO, MOD, whatever????? I doubt it......You are too crazy (honest)
"I am sure there is SOME truth to it all. But if she doesn't care any more, and she is coming clean...why not just actually...you know...come clean? You want to make an impact, blow up the whole system. Names, dates, everything. Why hide the dirt if you're going to post a story like that?"
As this game seems to be winding down, it would be nice to have the truth finally come out. In the later days, I suspect (know) of one or more glads that cheated and would like these acts to finally be told to the community.

I will ask my reporters to get hold of the both of you. (In-game), and speak to you for stories about the good old days. Please give them your support and I will provide you with mine. I have been around many years, and have heard players speaking about the game winding down, however all it takes in New Blood to reigning the fire

SPQR Player Profile - Acetic Acid

    Fri, 05/09/2014 - 19:13:15
    Message NVLFAN | Subject: AA
So, I had the opportunity to ask Acetic Acid a number of questions. He reminds me of the old school hardcore players. Very few left in the game!

Q - How long have you been playing this game?

A - I have been playing since about August-ish of 2009 with a hiatus of about a year in 2012-2013. I started on S3 and was taken under the wing of John Galt in the guild that is now known as Army of Venice. I have played as many as 4 Glads at a time, pre-merger. Servers 1, 2, 3, & 6.

Q - You are a vocal member of your guild and have shared strong opinions in the past. What are your thoughts on the state of the game? Has the merging helped or hurt the game?

A - Initially I like the activity/new rivalries the merger has created. With the abundance of events it has made the game quite intriguing, especially to any potential newcomers. I fear that once these events are over, it will be back to the same old grind. GF, in my opinion, has ruined this game and it original intention. They seem to have forgotten that it is a fighting game. Bowing down to the few that complain about "cyber bullying" thus taking away some of the best features of the game. Some of the fondest memories were instances such as being a level 50 and declaring war on an entire guild unless they paid you off. Long gone are those days and we'll never get them back. I could go on... but I'll refrain... I do love hearing myself talk!

Q - No secret that you have strong feeling about the Moesha interview...Why?

A - Well first, I have no issue with the way shim "appears" to be playing in the present. However, in reference to the "True Story of Hoesha" The Shim specifically blurted out my name with out knowing my true role in what went down, not to mention my purpose for applying & acceptance for the role of Game Operator and subsequent move to SGO. I realize players are bound to try and find a way around the "system" to become better/grow faster than their competition. Its somewhat human nature. I take extreme issue with the blatant disregard for the rules to the point where it was visible for all player to take notice and was allowed to happen time and time again. For that I not only blame the shim, I bring blame on the team members for allowing it to happen. Thus bringing me to why I joined the Team. The same reason the "rat" enjoys sharing guild mail (in his/her own way). Keeping this game fun and interesting for its players, only my mission was to do it by trying to change things from within. Perhaps I am too honest and prefer to work for something that is real and not a farce

Q -There are players in the game and then there are PLAYERS....who, outside of guildmates, would you want in your guild.

A - I have no room for any other PLAYERS. The way I see it they should want to be in my guild, because of me and my Guildmates! If you want to be considered a PLAYER in this game! WE are where its at. Now don't misunderstand what I am saying, I can still have respect and appreciate the work someone has put into their Glad (so long as it was built honestly, unlike crap players such as Semi/spainard that just have glads handed over to them and cant build a glad themselves because they suck at life). I am simply trying to state you are either with me or against me! Either get on SPQR/Allies side or get out of the damn way! This BS of Romankind, straddling the fence being in SPQR & the DUNG guild it is unacceptable in my opinion and that in addition to a few other reasons is why I kick him from the guild and felt good about doing it because I knew in the long run it would be bad news. We would just have one more "informant" in the guild... we already have enough as it is!

Q - Who do you wish they would suspend bashing rules on?...Even for one day!

A - This is a "fluff" question... its a damn fighting game, I say no bashing rules ever! as my GREAT friend AngryOonGalt would say, "if you cant take the hits, Go play the SIMS" I can take being hit 24 times a day, being zero'd out and you wont hear me complain. Despite the hypocrite's that claim they will not hit "out of range".

Q - What is your vision for the future of the new S9? How do you see this looking in 6 months?

A- I've covered this in the above answer! AA's Comments- I have done as much if not more than many ppl in ATTEMPTING to make this game better for its users. Far more than YOUR CoMa will ever do along with MOST of your current team Members. I can site only a few good ones and YES my guildmate Franz is on the top of the good ones list... and no it is not because he is in my guild! It is because I was instrumental in bring him on the team when I was a SGO and I have seen his integrity in action! I'll site a few examples of why you should all be thanking me!
    1. I was the person the reported a message from Nobs(A glad the ran a close 2nd to Hoesha with all his shenanigans) that lead to his ban from the game
    2. When A player was banned for a reported guild mail in MY guild, a team Member that was the Master of said guild, got this player un-banned so that he could "unpack" and donate his gold to the guild and not get raided. With the stink I rose on the forum with the help of the beloved RogerCeaser it helped change that rule of not being able to report guildmail... Your welcome .US

As requested by Acetic Acid, NVLFAN, has reported the story unchanged.
I would like to dig a little deeper into some of the comments as well as additional questions I would like to ask down the line (Perhaps a Second interview?). Thank you AA for allowing us to get a little insight into your "Crazy World". I will definetly look at the "698 forum post" you refered to in one of your correspondence with News_reporter.

    Women of Gladiatus! - Evka

Women of Gladiatus!  So to continue our series of interviews,, who better to speak to than former stripper and pole-dancer EVKA.

After going through the SPQR logs, it is interesting to see just how some of the SPQR Admin's actually think that Evka is the RAT.

It actually suits me, since I am a big fan of EVKA, and I really do think that a guild like "The_Den" would like to snap up a trustworth level 108 gladiator

Q - Do you have any gladiatus mentors? If so, who is it and what do you admire most about them?

A - At first – English is not my mother tongue but my third language so I talk like Master Yoda (lol) sometimes – I’m sorry :)
I started to play Gladiatus on my home server in 2006 and I had some mentors there but Gladiatus has gone thought a lot of changes and I started on the US server one day …
I would mention only few names – Nobs (who doesn’t play anymore), ***POPCORN*** (he helped/helps me with system of dungeons and with my dung boys, thank you), I’m curious and some people inspire me sometimes (I will not mention them because then I couldn’t spy them, lol)

You forgot to mention that I am one of your mentors, but only when you look in the mirror?

Q - How much time do you spend playing?

A - When I’m at home and work on my laptop I click 2-6 hours every day... But I think I talk to people more time than I play gladiatus =D
I love the fact that you "Double click your mouse"

Q - What do you think your greatest achievement in the game is?

A - Honestly I’ve never thought about it… Maybe two things – I’m in top 50 (in honor) after merge and I have some friends here. But my personal achievement is my English is better than 6 years ago.

Q - What is your advice for any newcomer?

    A – Don’t try to play this game! That’s addictive! =D
I have only two advices. The first one: have some friends here – the game will not be boring and the second one: don’t be afraid to write your opinion or question!

    Rat Rat Rat Rat

Q - How do you inspire others?

A - I don’t know if I inspire others but if someone thinks it – I appreciate it :) I only try to play this game fair and to hold my views.

Q - What guilds do you support and oppose and why?

A - I’m a member of SPQR (s1) and was in XIII (s1) long time. I have only one account – Evka. I don’t oppose anyone, why?! I have some friends in many different guilds.

Q - What is your next personal goal in the game?

A – To improve my dung boys.

Q -What glad would you like to go have a beer with?

A - American beer? Sorry Americans your beer is horrible but some bourbon or whisky can be ;) If I could go I would like with: Spaniard, Denastes, Tweeder, Chanel, Jens/Poseidon, some people who don’t play anymore and I’m sure I would find many interesting people on my list :)

Q -What glad do you wish would just quit the game already?

    A - Mine! =D
That's probably the best answer I have heard to that question. I wish i could quit too.

Q – Have you ever dated online?

    A - I date online every day =D
Are you going back to the double clicking experience?

Q – How many years have you played, and what has kept you here.

A - 6 years, since April 2008. I admit I’ve thought about not playing many times…But I’ve always found something which convinced me e.g. I have some friends here, some new motivation or I can practice my English…
The Rat will continue to give you motivation to stay , hehehehehehe

    Q – Share a secret with us!

A - You wrote I can be lucky you didn’t ask my bra size but I’m satisfied with my breasts (lol) I can’t share all secrets which I know but I can tell one secret I’m addicted to coffee :)
Aren't we all, we can speak about your breasts some other time ;)

Q – Have you ever used the fact that you are female, to talk your way out of an argument/fight on gladiatus

A – That’s true I always have to open my mouth when I don’t like anything, it often means a big problem (lol). I don’t need to use the fact I’m female in some arguments or fights. If I don’t want to fight I can it without the sentence "I’m a girl, so…" and I know someone will not kiss my euro ass only because I’m female. A lot of people dislike when someone writes/says own opinion but if someone sees or thinks some things in a different way – why couldn’t he/she say his/her opinion, point?! I don’t care if "it" is he or she! I can only agree or disagree...
In the words of the Virgin Mary" come again!"

Q – What does the phrase "I really don't like hamburgers!" on your profile refer to?

A – I’ve had it on my profile long time. A lot of people have on their profiles “how awesome people are and #1 in blablablah” but these notes are boring for me. I wanted something special or unusual on my profile. Once I saw some commercial this was about hamburgers. We Europeans make fun sometimes Americans eat only hamburgers or hot dogs. So I wrote “I really don’t like hamburgers!” Nothing personal against Americans that’s only fun.
And by the way: I really don’t like hamburgers and don’t eat them =D

OK, I really thought that it meant "I am not lesbian"
    ie.Hamburger Sign - It's a Girl!

Although Evka doesn't seem to think that I am worth spending time having a beer with, (Or does She) I have known her since I started playing Gladiatus. She has such a pleasant demeanor about herself, and she is definitely one of the reasons why I stuck around.
Thank you News_Reporter for sourcing the story.
Thank you Evka for giving my blog reporter and the readers some time to get to know you better. You are an awesome person.

    Women of Gladiatus! - Leila

Women of Gladiatus!  Who better to start with than Leila!

Q - Do you have any gladiatus mentors? If so, who is it and what do you admire most about them?

A - I have been around here for many years so there have been several  main gladiator mentors that really stand out in my mind. The first one was CanadianBeaver. He had the guild "The Beavers" and after he retired he turned it over to me.I was in awe of him. To me at that time he was unbeatable and
no one wanted to anger him. He was a great leader and a person with many principles. He taught me a lot about the game but he also taught me a lot about life. CanadianBeaver was a man with some very wise and deep thoughts. I miss him very much.Next would be JohnnyMac. He has helped me so much and in so many ways. There are so many things I admire about him. He is a great player and he loves playing which shows.Johnny is a wonderful guild Master. I admire him for always staying true to himself. He is very dedicated when he is in a guild, honest, answers questions and helps with large
contributions. He helps anyone he can with not just game issues but any issue they might have. He cares about people. Johnny plays the game for many reasons but one of them is because he really considers people he has met here as a friend and he has a great respect for friendship. He is indeed a man of great honor and a wonderful friend.

Q - How much time do you spend playing?

A - Well I do not play as much as I did. The game has changed so much over the years that a few times I have thought about not playing. The mergers have made it interesting and challenging at times which has helped. I am online daily, just not that long of period at a time. I probably log into each of my 3 glads 3 or 4 times a day for 15-30 mins. each time. When we have something special going on or a donation drive of course I am here for longer periods of time.

Q - What do you think your greatest achievement in the game is?

A - Well it sure is not my playing style or knowledge of how to build the best gladiator. I would say it has been my ability to follow my "gut" feeling. I am rather good at getting like a true instinct on a person or a situation.I am usually right...usually I said. I made a mistake trusting someone here once and his true colors came out.You can learn a lot about a person by just sitting back and
    watching and letting them talk.

Q - What is your advice for any newcomer?

A - I think in any game the biggest mistake most make, and I have made is just jumping in and not really know what I am  doing. This can get your gladiator off on a bad start. I would advice anyone just starting to first go to the forum. Read all the rules, know what you can and can not do. Read
things people write about things and look at how they respect or do not respect others. You are going to want to find a mentor and a very good guild. Be cautious, ask questions. The most important thing I could pass on to new players is to remember that stats are forever but your gear will change as you grow. Get those stats up and in the long run this will help you very much. Of course if you can
afford it the rubies are very nice but this game can be played and enjoyed without them.

Q - How do you inspire others?

A - I do not know if I do inspire others but I would like to think I do. I am just who I am and I try to treat others  the way I would like to be treated. I try to bring some humor into the game when I can just to hopefully put at least one smile on someones face.

    Q - Who is your right-hand man?

A - JohnnyMac..he is my right and left hand man. Where he goes I go. We are a team.

Q - What guilds do you support and oppose, and why?

A - I am  Nicoleta on s8 and in the guild Family of Blood. I am Leila(7) on s7 and a member of The Lions Den and Leila(5) on S7 where I am a member of Barbarians (Horde). Of course I support all 3 of these guilds. I also own The Beavers but I am not a member officially there. I do not really oppose
any guild. I have many friends in many different guilds. I respect all their hard work and efforts. Most people on here are very nice if you just take the time to get to know them and it is hard to oppose them for playing a fighting game.

Q - What is your next goal both personal and guild related.

A - My guild goals are to be more active and to find better gear for my gladiators. My personal goals are hard for me right now. I have had some trouble having a goal for anything since my son and
only child died 3 years ago as well as my father. I had already lost my mother many years ago.  I struggle with this daily. So my personal goal is to try and find some reason to smile each day, to try and find a purpose.

Q -What glad would you like to go have a beer with?

A - What?? Just one glad? lol..I would love to have a beer with JohnnyMac and also with Kimbus (if they are buying) I really have a long list of people I would like to have a beer with or a glass of wine. There are some very interesting people in my guilds and I think it would be fun to really know some of them.

Q -What glad do you wish would just quit the game already?

A - I really can not think of anyone at this time. As I said I really like most people here and I look forward to getting to know more new people.

Q - If you had to write something about your guild that could inspire others to join, what would it be?

A - This is sort of hard to respond to since I am in 3 guilds. Each guild I am in has something unique to offer as well as the Masters of these guilds. I love the guild Barbarians because JohnnyMac has that guild and he is gearing it a lot to helping new people. There are a lot of experienced people
in there but he wants the new and lower levels that are active and wanting to learn. I like that about Johnny. He treats all as equals. It doesnt matter if you are a level 5 or a level 105, you will have a say and be respected in his guild. Now I am also in the top guild The Lions Den. This is a great guild and I have to say Kimbus is indeed a great Master. I like his style of running a guild but we do cater
to the higher levels. But even being a higher level guild does not mean you do not have things to learn. The Den is very helpful if you need help and its a great place. The other guild Family of Blood is sort of inbetween. It is a good mixture of high and lower level players. Its a guild that has been around a long time. A lot of the original players of the Blood Family have retired from the game and it got a bit dormant. JohnnyMac is also Master there and has been doing a great job of working to get it back up to speed. I love all my guilds so I would say you can not go wrong with any of the 3. It just depends on where you feel the most comfortable and how much interaction you want. I am just proud to be a part of all three. All 3 are lead by men who I have so much respect and admiration for..so come put your applications in.

    WOW - What can I say - "I AM A FAN"
Just love the fact that Leila was able to share so much with us.
If you see this Lady in the game, tell her how much your enjoyed getting to know her.

Thank you Leila for affording us the time to get to know you.
Thank you NVLFAN for sourcing and reporting this story,

Interview with OOngats - No Show

We understand how some people might not get what we are trying to do here.  The point is to create our own point of interest and engage more glads that are in our community.

We understand some people have been put-off from responding to requests from the blog, as this all started with the SPQR_RAT........ I get that.

Eric, approached http://gladiatusus9.blogspot.com/  and we were true to our word, his story was posted unedited.

NVLFAN approached Sir_PaleRider, and he had a major issue with doing the interview but understood the importants of engaging our community.

    Wed, 05/07/2014 - 16:37:41 Message NVLFAN | Subject: OOngate
I responded to a request that was posted in the Blog...that's all.  I sent a request to OOngats...Not a gracious person, I understand why.  It's too bad as I would have posted his response much the same way I did SirPalerider's.   I am hoping that he reconsiders.

Lets work together, and play open cards.
We only approach you, because the rest of the community would like to hear from you.
As NVLFAN requested, we hope that you will reconsider.

    Eric's Mystery Invitation

On Monday, eric made a statement in SPQR. Now, all I have heard over the last few weeks is how SPQR_RAT changes the messages to tailor his/her needs and  so on. So again I say, I have never altered a story, and in this particular case, and although it eventually took 2 days to get confirmation out of Eric, RomanKind and Kimbus, we finally have this statement sold.

"Mon, 05/05/2014 - 12:14:41 Guild message from: eric93! thanks Dice! According to romankind he told me that kimbus was going to extend an invite to me to join them. Before this happened. I regret that he didn't because it would of been nice to reject him. I don't know anything about kimbus other then some glads here have issues with him. the only reason I wanted to go after den was because he said server 7 was the best. I am loyal to server1 and after he declared war against us and wrt. that motivated me most. but after reading his interview. the only other thing I know about him is he is truly BORING :)"

One of our correspondents eventually tracked down RomanKind and ask him for his comments on the above. Although he was initially apprehensive, he confirmed Erics statement as per the below:

    Wed, 05/07/2014 - 12:08:17         Message romankind6 | Subject: In Response to Statement
Yes, I can confirm that I told Eric that I recommend to Kimbus that he should  approach Eric, as I believed at the time that he would have been a good addition to "The_Den". I told Kimbus that I was a Gladiator in WRT at the time, and that I thought that Eric’s actions were  honourable, however was not on speaking terms with him. Since then, I have spoken to Eric on a few occasions, and I do enjoy our conversations. Unfortunately, Kimbus spoke to Eric, and didn't believe that he was the right fit for the guild. I trust Kimbus's ability to read people, and so far his instinct has not lead him astray. He has built an incredibly strong guild, and everything runs like clockwork.

We took it a step further and asked Kimbus to comment on our findings:

    Wed, 05/07/2014 - 15:32:37         Message Kimbus | Subject:
Yes, RomanKind approached me, and asked if I could talk Eric into joining “The Lions Den”, however before I could make such a decision, I believe it is important to get to know the person first. I contacted Eric (Via another Gladiator of mine), and my immediate intuition suggested that he was somewhat obtuse and apathetic. This resulted in my decision to withdraw my extension of the olive branch and eric never received an invitation to join.

Alright Eric, this reminds me of a saying: “A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.”
